Everything about how to reserve your safari experience
Booking is quick and easy. You have three options:
We recommend booking at least 7–14 days in advance, especially for weekends and school holiday periods when tours fill up quickly. The Night Safari (limited to 8 guests) tends to book out 2–3 weeks ahead during peak season (June–September and December–January).
Walk-in bookings are accepted subject to availability, but to avoid disappointment — particularly for families — advance booking is strongly advised.
We offer a flexible cancellation policy:
Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days. Medical emergencies may qualify for a credit voucher — please contact us with documentation. See our full Terms & Conditions for details.
Yes! You may modify your booking (change date, tour type, or guest count) at no charge if you do so more than 48 hours before your tour. Modifications within 48 hours are subject to availability and may incur a small admin fee.
To modify your booking, email bookings@wildsafari.com with your booking reference number.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, bank transfer, and selected mobile payment platforms. All transactions are secured with SSL encryption.
Yes! Groups of 10 or more receive a 15% discount on all safari tours. School groups and educational institutions may qualify for additional discounts — please contact us directly to discuss your requirements.
Group bookings require a 48-hour advance notice and a separate group booking agreement.
Absolutely! WildSafari Gift Vouchers are available for any of our tours and are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They can be purchased online or by calling our team, and are delivered via email as a beautiful digital card.
The recipient can book their preferred date directly using the voucher code on our booking page.
Details about our safari experiences and what to expect
We offer three distinct safari experiences:
All tours include: expert certified guide, safari vehicle transport within the park, welcome refreshments, binoculars and wildlife guidebook, and entry to all zones visited during your specific tour.
The Family Safari also includes lunch at WildSafari Lodge, a Junior Ranger activity pack, and a family photo package. The Night Safari includes infrared torches, stargazing time, and hot cocoa.
We recommend:
Yes! Our tours are available in English, French, Spanish, and Swahili. If you require a guide in a specific language, please mention it at the time of booking so we can assign the appropriate naturalist. Audio guide devices are also available in 8 languages at no extra charge.
Light rain doesn't cancel tours — in fact, many animals are more active after rainfall! Safari vehicles are covered and our team provides ponchos if needed.
However, in cases of severe weather (heavy storms, flooding, or lightning), tours may be postponed or cancelled for safety. In this event, you'll receive full credit or a refund of your choice. We'll contact you at least 2 hours before your scheduled start time.
Yes! Private safari experiences are available for groups who want an exclusive, intimate experience with a dedicated guide and vehicle. Private safaris must be booked at least 5 days in advance. Please contact us at hello@wildsafari.com for custom pricing.
Yes! The WildSafari Lodge Restaurant is open daily from 7AM to 8PM and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring locally inspired cuisine. The Family Safari includes lunch at the Lodge as part of the package.
We also have a Safari Café with light snacks, coffee, and fresh juices available throughout the day. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options are available — please notify us of any dietary requirements in advance.
Questions about the animals you'll encounter
WildSafari is home to over 500 species across four distinct biomes: the Savannah (Mammals), Wetlands & Canopy (Birds), River & Desert (Reptiles), and the Ocean Pavilion (Aquatic Life). Highlights include lions, elephants, Bengal tigers, giraffes, flamingos, Nile crocodiles, and whale sharks.
Each safari tour focuses on specific zones — visit our Animals page to explore species by category before your visit.
Unguided touching or feeding of any animal is strictly prohibited for the safety of both guests and animals. However, the Family Safari includes a supervised animal feeding experience led by our trained keepers, where guests can interact safely with select animals.
WildSafari operates as an accredited conservation park. Our animals live in expansive, naturalistic habitats carefully designed to mimic their native environments — with expert veterinary care, enrichment programmes, and ethical welfare standards.
We do not use performing animals or any form of forced entertainment. Many of our animals are part of international conservation and breeding programmes for endangered species.
Each month, WildSafari highlights one of our resident animals with special keeper talks, extended viewing times, educational panels, and behind-the-scenes opportunities for guests. The Animal of the Month is announced on our website and social media at the start of each month.
Subscribing to our newsletter ensures you're the first to know about these special spotlights and can plan your visit accordingly.
Animals may occasionally be off-display due to veterinary appointments, feeding schedules, or habitat maintenance. While we cannot guarantee sightings of specific animals, our guides will always ensure you see the most active and accessible wildlife on your tour day.
No refunds are issued for individual species unavailability, but if a significant portion of a tour zone is unavailable, we'll offer rescheduling or a partial credit.
Location, hours, parking, and what to expect on arrival
WildSafari is located at Safari Park Road, Jungle District, Nairobi, Kenya 10001. We're approximately 20 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
WildSafari is open 7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (last entry at 6:00 PM). The Night Safari departs at 7:00 PM and returns by 9:00 PM — advance booking is required.
Yes — free parking is available for all guests in our on-site car park, which accommodates 500+ vehicles including dedicated spaces for coaches, accessible parking, and EV charging stations.
During peak periods (school holidays, weekends), we recommend arriving 30 minutes before your tour start time.
Yes! WildSafari is committed to being fully accessible:
Please mention any specific accessibility needs when booking so we can ensure the best possible experience.
Children aged 3 and under enter free of charge on all safari tours when accompanied by a paying adult. Children aged 4–12 receive a 30% discount on tour prices. Standard adult pricing applies from age 13 onwards.
Sealed water bottles and small personal snacks are permitted inside the park. However, open food must not be brought near animal enclosures to avoid accidental feeding or attracting animals.
Outside alcohol is not permitted. WildSafari's restaurant and café offer a wide range of food and beverage options including child-friendly meals.
How we keep you, your family, and our animals safe
Guest safety is our highest priority. All tours are led by certified wildlife guides with extensive safety training. Safari vehicles meet the highest safety standards. Our park is fully enclosed with multiple layers of safety barriers between guests and large predators.
WildSafari holds full public liability insurance and undergoes annual safety audits by accredited wildlife authorities.
The Night Safari is recommended for guests aged 8 and above. Children aged 8–15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The tour involves walking on unlit paths with torch equipment, and some younger children may find the nocturnal environment unsettling.
For younger children, we recommend the Family Safari which includes all the wonder of wildlife without the darkness!
WildSafari has a fully equipped First Aid Centre staffed by a qualified nurse during all operating hours. We stock a range of first aid supplies, AED defibrillators, and basic medical equipment. In the event of a serious medical emergency, we have direct coordination with Nairobi's Aga Khan Hospital (15 minutes away).
Flash photography is strictly prohibited near all animals. Flash can cause extreme distress to wildlife, potentially trigger defensive behaviour, and in some cases damage the sight of certain nocturnal species.
Please disable your camera flash before entering animal viewing areas. Our guides will remind you of this rule at the start of every tour. Guests who repeatedly use flash photography may be asked to leave without refund.
Drone operation within WildSafari is strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation from park management. The noise and movement of drones causes significant distress to our animals and may trigger dangerous reactions from large predators or birds of prey.
Media organisations and filmmakers may apply for a Media Access Permit at least 14 days in advance. Please email media@wildsafari.com for information.
